Obituary of Lucie Marie Richards

With joy in her heart, and surrounded by love, Grandma Lucie passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2018. She was born to Helene and Auguste Decloux in St. Boniface, Manitoba in 1919 and moved to St. Catharines in 1940 with her husband Robert (2001). Loving mother of Bob (Denise), Pat (Jim), Gary (Lee), and Judy (2006). Proud grandmother of Brenda (John), Bob (Laurie), Elena (Jay), Chris (Holly), Jeff (Julia), Andrew (Katie), Jennifer (Steve) and Jillian. Devoted great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother of Douglas, Carson, Keegan, Lucie, Alice, Jackie, Oscar, Eva, Charla (Nat), Steven, Kate, Addie, Bella, Scarlet, Mason, Dade, Zoey and Charlee. Good friend of Gwen. Special thank-you to her PSW and friend Carol. She will be fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and the community at Anchor Pointe Retirement Home.

Lucie had a love for music, fun, family and friends. She spent many years camping and traveling with friends and family around the world. Her laugh and love was contagious and impacted every person she met.

Please join friends and family at George Darte Funeral Home at 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10am-11am. Service to follow at 11am.  A private interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
