My condolences to Charlene's family.
I met Charlene back in 1996 on the picket line. We had so much fun.
She was a shinning light and had an infectious smile and laugh.
Rest in peace Charlene.

I will remember Charlene for her kindness, and her bright personality. She loved humour and to laugh. She was a tenacious spirit that never gave up.
I saw this in her battle with cancer. I had the chance to accompany her for chemo where she accepted her plight with reserve. She joked with the nurses. Her can do attitude was stunning.
She fought to the end. Her strength of character was surrounding. I will go out in the world hold and hopeful in her memory. If we all do this she will live on in us all.
Wishing you (her family) peace.
Much love,
Kim

To my dear friend Charlene,
A dagger was plunged into my chest when I heard of your passing. Your courage in fighting the health challenge thrown in your path is exemplary. I remember your zest for life when we were co-workers Casemanagers at SAEO at the Region. Your support for those you fought for through the Union was unwavering: your fight for justice and equity, your advocacy ... I happy that your faith in the Lord helped you through your battle with cancer. We're all temporary on this beautiful planet Earth, and I am blessed to have spent a few years as a friend.
Until we meet again, may God offer support and comfort to the loved ones you leave behind.
In Love and Friendship Eternal, we believe you will be welcomed with open arms, so deservedly, my dear.

A great union sister has left us. She was always one for: "let's just do it", a great "Mrs. Santa" at our CUPE 1287 Children's Christmas party, a supportive advocate for our members, a good friend and I could go on and on.
My condolences to all of Charlene's family, but most especially to her daughters Karena and Erica and most especially to her precious grandchildren.
You have been and will be missed, Sister King!!

Karena Erica and Family, there are no words I can say that will heal your heart ache. I can only hope that all the cherished memories help ease the ache, and she is only as far as your heart.

You have earned your wings, I cannot be selfish and wish for more time as you are free from illness and pain. You will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss you but I know we will meet again on the other side, until then I know your only a thought away. Love you always xo Pam

Such an amazing lady! My heart is broken right now! Thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. May God guard your hearts and minds, may His comfort surround you, and remind you that His child Charlene, is safely home with Him, He will wipe every tear from her eyes, and every pain removed forever. Reminding us that one day we will see her again. Praise God!
