Just found this obituary today. Many good memories of the Mack School of Nursing including Miss Rolls who taught my class of 72 the history of our chosen profession. Rest in peace dear lady.

So very sorry to hear about Norma. She was a dear friend. We graduated together from Mack Training in 1945. Our graduating class was small and we were all very close. Norma stayed in St.Catherines and I married and moved to Nova Scotia, but whenever I came to Ontario we got together and talked about old times. My thanks to the staff who looked after her over the years. With sympathy, Inez MacKenzie , Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

I am so sorry to hear about Norma
She was one of my instructors at Mack
I had visited Norma at st.catharines place a couple of times ,but unfortunately not lately
After nursing I worked at Sears and would often see her there and we would have some nice "chats"
My sincere condolences to all of her family

I had the pleasure of getting to know and love Norma when visiting with my mother (Doris) in their shared room at Hotel Dieu Shaver. Norma was always cheerful, pleasant and polite. She was a real gem. Heaven is a better place now that she is there. Rest In Peace precious Norma.

Norma was one of my instructors when I first entered the Mack Training School for nurses about 55 years ago. Throughout her time at Mack and Niagara College our lives intersected. She certainly made an indelible impression on me as a student; I learned to appreciate her even more when I began teaching and she was very helpful in finding resources in the library.
May God be the source of comfort and strength for her family and friends. My condolences and prayers. Linda

I was truly blessed to have become well acquainted with Norma during the past eight months while she was a room-mate of my Mother’s at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Rehabilitation hospital where I spent a minimum of six hours per day with them. I believe that one’s true character becomes apparent during such adversity. Norma always maintained a sense of elegance & composure despite such an environment. She was always thoughtful, kind & generous. Norma was intelligent & principled with a strength of character second to none. I grew to love & respect her during these past months. I am deeply saddened by this loss. May she rest in peace.

I was privileged to be a student of Miss Rolls (MTS Class of 1963). Our class recently held its 55th reunion. It was the unanimous opinion that we had been blessed with excellent teachers who had produced outstanding registered nurses. I am grateful to have had Miss Rolls as one of those instructors. Well done...and thank you.
