Obituary of Frederick Henry Molnar
MOLNAR, Frederick - It is with sadness that we announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at Henley House at the age of 85. Fred was a wonderful man who during his lifetime had the fortunate blessing of touching many lives. Husband of Patricia. Dad to Lucy Hyndman (Charlie), Nancy van der Zalm (Ron), Tammy Robertson - Tchaouch (Kenan) and Greg (Gabi). The world's best Papa, who will be missed more than words can express, to Ben, Sam, Megan, Genna, Geoffrey, Marc and Brian. Brother of Grace, Reta Rogalsky (Herman) Irvine (Sheala) and Walter (Sheila). Fred is predeceased by his parents Henry and Elizabeth Molnar and his dear brother Wilson (Beatrice). Fred will also be greatly missed by his many friends and extended family. He worked for 40 years at GM Plant 1 while operating Fred's Travel Trailers on Ontario Street for several years in the 1960's. After retirement, Fred could be found sharpening skates at Canadian Tire or working in the produce department at Metro. Fred was also a volunteer at the Niagara Warehouse of Hope and always had a front row seat cheering on his grandchildren at their various sporting events. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6-8p.m. A Celebration of Fred's Life will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations may be made to The Niagara Warehouse of Hope or Out of the Cold.
