It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hans on Sunday, October 14, 2018, three days short of his 74th birthday. Hans was the wonderful husband of Carole for 50 years, the loving father of Paul and Robert, brother-in-law to Dennis Whalen and the uncle of Michael and Steven Whalen of Florida. Hans worked at Stelco for 16 years then worked for The Beer Store as a manager for 28 years. He retired in 2007 and spent his time skiing, hunting, cycling, snowmobiling, traveling with his family, and enjoying pizza at Sammy’s. Hans will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. In accordance with Hans' wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be announced in due time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
