Obituary of Roger Jean Joseph Lemire

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roger on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the age of 76. Beloved husband to Louise for 56 years. Loving father to Alain (Tina) and Lucie (the late Tim). Cherished Pepère to Chelsey (Jason), Isaac (Amanda), Joel (Alexandra), Elizabeth and Grand Papère to Emily, Autumn and Aurora. Brother to Lorraine (Albert), the late Clément (Nancy), Laurier (Linda), the late Claire (the late René), Gérald (Patricia). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, many other extended family members and friends. A very active member of AA and helped those who needed guidance and support. He was very willing to give his time to help others. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and oh yes, of course, playing cards. The family would like to thank all the staff at Tabor Manor for all their care and compassion over the past year. They would also like to thank the staff in the ICU at the St. Catharines General Hospital for giving Roger the best care in his final days. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of Roger’s Life will follow visitation at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home’s Ceremony Room. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
