I was shocked and saddened to read of Dean's death. We dated back in high school, reconnected a couple of years ago, and stayed in touch. He was just as fun loving and kind in his adulthood as he was at 15. Dean made so many people smile and will surely be missed.
My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. I hope to be there in February.
In love and light,
Robynne

Dear Fournier Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Dean's passing today.
Though I have not spoken to Dean in some time I have nothing but fond and happy thoughts of the years we worked together.
I had the distinct pleasure of working with Dean at Guinness. He was the first person I met in the industry (we worked for competing breweries). I knew no one and he befriended me. We hit it right off instantaneously. That was Dean! He made friends EVERYWHERE ! I then recruited him to come to Guinness, first in Sudbury and then in Ottawa. Yes, Dean made us all laugh but more than that he was simply a great human being who had a big heart and was incomparably generous. I am certain that you will hear from many people that Dean was special , unique and someone we would call a friend for life. The world is a lesser place without him. My most sincere condolences on your loss and I wish you peace during this trying time. I will most certainly be in attendance at the celebration of life in February. God bless you Deano … we shall meet again.

Amie, Dan and Don our thoughts are with you and your families. I have many fond memories over the years. One of the nicest people anyone could ever meet! he always put a smile on our faces. When my father in law passed away he was there to help without any questions asked. I will always remember that. Dean was the greatest pitcher to ever play for the Dublin Pub Inhalers. Won us championships and more importantly made it a whole lot more fun to go out to the ball park!

I just had to add my favourite memory of Dean..
He and I were just talking about it, not long ago, but was when I was a bartender at the old Dublin Up, and we sponsored the boys Ball team.
Dean had let his hair grow extremely long thru baseball season, but had told the team, if they won the season, he would cut it all off.
Well they won the season, came back to the Pub for wings and beer, but I never knew I'd be asked to cut Deans hair for him, lol, so we set up shop, and I gave Deaner the shortest haircut I could! It was 1 of thee most funny and memorable events, we'd ever had in the Pub. Lol
Love you Deaner, now you Rest in Peace my friend.. Love Sue

In 2015 I decided I could leave my two teenage boys home alone for a couple of hours. They just stopped beating the crap out of each other. I went into the Kilt and sat near the cash register. At the other end of the bar was Margaret, Lamar and Dean. He called me Yodo and hurled insults at me. Right then I knew I liked this place. After a few encounters, of the third kind, I found myself at the other side of the bar. Hanging out with Dean, on the 4-6 shift became the bright spot in my day. He laughed at me when I lost my job and was always picking out my next boyfriend. Under all of his jokes Dean had a real compassionate side. He was a good listener and always had advice for me, whether or not I asked for it. I will miss his presence dearly, but his spirit remains. His with his mom now. God bless to all of us who are suffering. The pain will fall away and we will just be left with good memories.
