Shirley and I were connected through the "Apple" program at our church, where a younger and older woman were paired up to connect with each other. That was the beginning of the lovely friendship I had with Shirley. We started by completing bible studies together and then we just did life together. She was my dear friend and second mother for over 20 years. I will miss her sweet nature and silly self, but I know I will see her again and that helps me a lot. I feel like she's still close to me. Love you Shirley!

So shocked to hear about your Mom's passing. Both your Mom and Dad had such an impact on our lives. May the Lord comfort you and be blessed knowing that she is with her Lord and Saviour.
Gus.

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. It is so sad to see the ones we love pass away....but like you said to Sherrill, thankfully we have the assurance that we will meet again. Your Mom and Dad were very special to our Mom and Dad, making them special to us. I always enjoyed our times together, your Mom and I aways found something to discuss and have a laugh. Our Mom would have been 100 Jan. 2, 2019. Hard to imagine. May God bless you and your family at this time. We will remember you in our prayers.
Blessings to you and yours
Marion

I have so many wonderful memories and photos of our adopted family Uncle Bob and Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bobs family. Our families were best friends and Bob and Shirley were best friends of my mom and dad for MANY MANY years. We vacationed together as families for many years.
We will always cherish those memories. Bonnie and her husband have remained connected to our family and Bonnie was best friends with my sister Judy. ( deceased)
We pray God will bring peace to you all
Love

To Alguire Family:
Shirley and I grew up in the same area of London Township. I always knew the Dickenson family. I was the soloist at Bob and Shirley's wedding.
They were married in Wesley United Church and were the first couple married there after the church had been demolished in the 1953 tornado. I used to see Bob & Shirley once in a while, but our path separated as we have families and move.
However, I did want to send my sincere sympathy to each one. Mothers
are very precious persons and sadly they can't be replaced. I know all of her
family will have beautiful memories - hold onto to them- they will help you
to carry on.
God's Blessings
Margaret

The older I get, the more I value those who contributed to my youth. It has been many years, but my appreciation for your family is heartfelt. I was truly saddened to hear of the loss of “Mrs. Alguire”. With you, I rejoice that she is enjoying all that she lived for, and will sincerely pray for your family as you deal with the loss of such a special lady.

My sincere sympathy to each of her family. Although Shirley is gone she will never be gotten as she lives on in your memories of wonderful times shared. She has left a great legacy and each of her family was blessed to have her in your life. An older sister of my childhood best friend Ruth, we probably gave her some moments of consternation when we were together. However, I cherish my memories of her.
