Obituary of Donald Ross Obee

OBEE, Donald Ross Sr.

September 7, 1931 – January 4, 2019

Don leaves behind Doris, his beloved wife of 68 years, son Grant (Sue), daughter Susan, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Don Jr. (2006). Don worked at GM as a supervisor for 31 years. For several years, Don was very active and was past president of the Merriton Athletic Association (MAA). Special thanks to the ER and 3B Doctors and nurses, Dr. Al Khateeb and Julie – Geriatric Assessment and Trish – Palliative Care at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Doris and Family are grateful and thankful to a loyal friend and neighbour Relly Antonelo who has always lent a helping hand and being there in a time of need. A thank you goes out to Shari Gauvreau for your compassionate support. In accordance with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, (905) 937-4444. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Salvation Army.
