Obituary of Peter Rawsthorne

RAWSTHORNE, Peter - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing man. Peter passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday January 12th in his 78th year. He is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife Bernice, children Peter and his wife Christa, Jason and his wife Ruth, Cheryl and her partner Bill, his daughter in-law Samantha Banks and  predeceased by his son Wayne(2013). He is also survived by his grandchildren Tamara and her husband James, Monty, Braeden, Grace, Izzy, Nate and Nick as well as his nephew Ron Jones.A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and respirologists   of 2A at the St Catharines General Hospital who cared for our father with respect and dignity. Peter’s family will receive guests on Friday January 18th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St, St Catharines. The Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday January 19th in the Chapel at George Darte.  If so desired the family would request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice Niagara or The Red Roof Retreat.
