PAPALIA, Maria (nee Delorenzo)

September 2, 1926 – March 15, 2019

Wife of the late Antonio (2012). Beloved mother to Joseph (Susan) and Elvira “Vera” (Guenther) Penner. Loving Nonna to Joseph (Allison). Sister to Antonio (Mary) Delorenzo, Bruce (Joan) Delorenzo, Concetta (the late Salvatori) Castagnella, the late Nancy Delorenzo and the late Sara Cardoni. Sister-in-law to Anna (the late Frank) and Cosmo (the late Concetta) Condina. She loved all the many nieces and nephews. Thank you to everyone at the Henley House for the care, comfort and support you provided for the last four years. We will miss Maria’s smile, humour and she would call everyone BEAUTIFUL. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. Memorial donations may be made to Henley House or to the Alzheimer Society.
