Obituary of Father Anthony Inneo
INNEO, Father Anthony
Father Anthony Inneo passed peacefully on May 21, 2019 at the age of 86. Born on January 10, 1933 in Accadia, Italy, he began his spiritual education at St. Francis Seminary in Assisi. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and entered St. Augustine's Seminary and was ordained priest in 1961 for the Diocese of St. Catharines, in which he served the English and Italian communities. He also served in Spanish in Oaxaca, Mexico during his holidays and sabbatical years.
He will now be reunited with his mother and father, Maria and Domenic Inneo, brothers Giovanni and Biase Inneo. He will be remembered by his brother Michael Inneo, extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, May 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:15 a.m. until the time of Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Priests' Plot at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul - Ozanam Centre, who provide food to those in need.
