Obituary of Barbara Eileen Serneels (Blundell)

SERNEELS, Barbara (nee Blundell) – Barbie passed away on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 in New Albany, Indiana at the age of 48. Loving wife of Dean. Cherished mother of Megan and Ryan. Beloved daughter of David and Janet Blundell. Devoted sister of Lesley (David) Joyce. Special Aunt to Ashley and Eric, as well as several nephews. She is survived by her Aunt Mary (Steve) and 3 Great Aunts, Marjorie Summers, Evelyn Emslie and Ann North; as well as her Great Uncle Rod, several cousins and close friends.  Barbie was a graduate of Niagara College. She was Silver Medalist in Precision Figure Skating at the National Level.  Barbie also enjoyed teaching Figure Skating. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, June 26th from 6-9p.m. Memorial donations to The Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
