HALSEY, Joyce Sullivan (nee Prince) RN

Joyce did it her way. She left for heaven from her home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Bruce Halsey. Best mom to David Sullivan, Judith Sullivan, Timothy Sullivan and Karen (Greg) Anderson. Much loved Nan of Kristian and Melissa Anderson, Melissa and Dustin Rowe, Kohl and Melissa Sullivan, Dakota Sullivan, Kaitlyn Sullivan, and Emily Sullivan. Great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean and Jack Cornthwaite, of Sudbury. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joyce will be missed by her loving fur babies, April and Chelsea. Predeceased by her first husband Walter Sullivan, her brothers Bill, Doug and Ross Prince and sister Ruth and Jerry McWhirter. Joyce worked as a Registered Nurse at the Hotel Dieu for 24 years. She was a very kind and compassionate nurse that took pride in her work. Special thank you to Jackie and Bill for all your love and care. Also, thank you to Joyce's nurse Brenda and the palliative care staff at St. Elizabeth's. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, July 11 from 1-3 p.m. A Celebration of Joyce's life will follow in the funeral home ceremony room at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln Country Humane Society.
