Obituary of Jean Colangeli
COLANGELI, JEAN (nee De Rocco) A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. After a long illness she passed away on March 16, 2012 at the Shaver Hospital in her 80th year. Devoted wife of Italo Colangeli for 59 years. Loving mother of Dianne Volpatti, Mario Colangeli, Daniel, Dean (Kim). Cherished grandmother of Kristin of Australia, Amber,Kayla Volpatti, Taylor and Jared. Sister to Mary Gibson, Carmel (Arnold) Vani, Predceased by her brother Massimo "Michael" and his wife Barb De Rocco, Antonio (Shirley) De Rocco. Also predceased by Givovanni (Emma), Gina and Zopito Di Francesco and her parents Ulisse De Rocco and Concetta (nee Collini).
You taught us about love, life and the importance of family.These memories will always be cherished. You will be forever in our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Finley, Dr. David Henry, 4th floor staff at the St. Catharines General and Shaver Hospital's .
Jean is resting at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 18 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in memory of Jean†™s life at St. Alfred†™s Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday at 11am. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to the †œTender Wish Foundation or St. Catharines General Hospital - Walker Cancer Centre.
