Obituary of Nada Rozman

ROZMAN, Nada (nee Berce)

January 25, 1924 - July 26, 2019.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Hotel Dieu Shaver. Nada was the beloved wife of the late Frank (2005). She was the loving mother of Margaret (Tony) Pavelich and Frank Joseph (Denise). Nada was the proud grandmother of Alexander Pavelich, Jessica, Kathleen and Matthew Rozman. Cherished sister of Bernard (Alenka) Berce. Aunt to Peter (Christine), Boris (Brittany) and Joseph Berce. Great-aunt to Lily, Maya, Stuart and Taylor. Nada was an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews in Slovenia. Predeceased by her parents, Andrej and Antonija Berce, her siblings Andrej, Franc, Joseph, Rafael, Ivica and Mirko.

Nada was born in Dornberk, Slovenia and came to Canada in 1951. She married Frank in Val D’Or, Quebec, and later made St. Catharines their home. Nada was a proud homemaker who enjoyed being with her family and close friends. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, baking, gardening, and for making the best potica. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She will be forever missed by her family.

Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, July 30 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation or the St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Alfred's Church).
