INGHAM, Don & Joanne

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Don on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the age of 85 and Joanne on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the age of 82. Don and Joanne were married for 63 years. Loving parents to Danny (Cindi), Mike (Linda), Brian (Mark), and Donald (Toni). Cherished grandparents to Luke (Christine), Taylor (Jenn), Trevor (Jarin), and Dylan. Great-grandparents of Audrey, Oliver, and Cayson. Don was a dear brother of Tommy (the late Margaret) and Edna (the late George), and was predeceased by his siblings Joan, Eileen, George, Ida. Joanne was a cherished sister to Ivan and sister-in-law to Marilyn, and was predeceased by her siblings Dillon (Sharon), and Roddy. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Don retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. He was a strong union man and a member of the CAW. Joanne worked in retail at Zellers for many years. In their retirement, Don and Joanne moved to the Bancroft area where they enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. They will be remembered for their love for music and family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to March of Dimes, the staff at Upper Canada Lodge, and CBI for their ongoing support and compassion.

In keeping with Don and Joanne's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, August 13 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 14 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A Celebration of Life ceremony for Don and Joanne will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 12 p.m. in the funeral home ceremony room. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall at the funeral home. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society.
