Obituary of Altreta (Treta) Margaret Baker
BAKER, Altreta (Treta) - On the morning of August 11, 2019 in her 96th year, Altreta Margaret Baker ( nee Orser) passed away with her 5 loving children by her side at the United Mennonite Home. Beloved wife of the late Francis. Cherished mother of Ken (Janice Pellatiro) Baker of Phoenix, Judy (Morris) Farmer of St. Catharines, Sherry (Harry / Brud McNulty) Baker of Phoenix, Patti Baker of St. Catharines and Tracy ( Louie) Calsavara of Windsor. Loving Nan of Todd, Lee (Kristen), Deanna, Corey (Jennifer),Kristen, Lauren (Matt), Brittany (Brad), Louis and David. Great grandmother of Brendan, Travis, Adrianna, Nicholas, Kayah, Madigan, Alexander, Charlotte, Jocelyn and Annabelle. Predeceased by her siblings Edna, Emma, Bill, Florence, Louie and Leona. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Treta was a proud resident of Port Dalhousie for over 54 years. She was a hard worker who was an active volunteer and long time member of St. John Anglican Church. Treta was a dedicated worker, who took pride throughout her professional career. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She always maintained her keen wit and caring personality until her passing. A sincere thank you to all of the staff at the United Mennonite Home for all of their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, August 15th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 16th at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the United Mennonite Home or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
