Obituary of Bradley Weston Colotelo
COLOTELO, Bradley Weston
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bradley on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the age of 46. He loved his beautiful wife, Dana, through 15 fun years of marriage and was thrilled to be the father and best buddy of his incredible sons, Gabriel and Rowan. Beloved son of Vivian and William Colotelo, he is also the dear son-in-law of Michael and Nella McLaughlin and Lora McLaughlin and Philippe Rodrigue. Cherished brother-in-law of Ryan and Maggie McLaughlin and Erin McLaughlin. Loving uncle to Casey, Oliver and Elaina. Beloved nephew to Francis Weston, Alfred and Patricia Weston and Elena Vacarchuk. Dear cousin to David Weston, Marci Weston, Leslie and Jerry Laan, Deanna House, John and Nanci Vacarchuk, Anne and Scott Divers, Donna and John Bowlin, Meredith Meyer and Kathlene Meyer. Predeceased by father William, aunt Helen Weston, aunt Veronica Colotel, aunt Maria Meyer, Uncle George Vacarchuk and cousin’s Ivan House and Ralph Bell. Much loved by many second cousins and extended family through the Colotelo family, Weston family, West family, McLaughlin family and Hoffer family. His snuggles will be missed by his pets Leroy, Stella, Ellie and Walter. Brad’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to their circle of friends in this difficult time; your warmth and kindness are beyond measure.
Brad was born in Grimsby and loved to travel the world, though his roots always remained in the Niagara region where he was close to many friends and family. A talented graphic designer and marketing professional, Brad had a wide range of interests in music, sports, history, science and art, and could strike up a conversation with anyone with his depth of knowledge, warmth and kindness. He gave generously and loved to take care of everyone, always wanting to help out and make sure everyone was included and having a good time. His true gift of enriching anyone’s day with a joke or story, being able to comfort and encourage, of always making time to talk and truly listen, and his hearty laugh will be missed beyond words. He was a beautiful soul and those who had the honour of knowing him even for a short while can attest to how much brighter and lively the world was with him in it.
Arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private family gathering will take place with cremation following. A luncheon celebration of Brad's life will be held at Club Roma (125 Vansickle Rd., St. Catharines, ON) on Sunday, August 25 from 1-4. Please come in your brightest colours, a plaid button down or a Hawaiian shirt. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
In support of Dana, Gabriel and Rowan, a Go Fund Me page has also been created and can be accessed here: https://www.gofundme.com/brad-colotelo-taken-from-his-family-far-to-soon. Any contributions are graciously appreciated.
