Obituary of Stan Socha

SOCHA, Stan

On Friday, September 13, 2019 at Hospice Niagara. Stan Socha 69 years of age, loving husband to the late Irene (1999), dear father of Stan Jr. (Michelle), Grampa to Tristan and Cole. Beloved son of Wanda and the late Jozef, brother to Joe and the late Wesley (Judy), brother-in-law to Nancy (the late Fred) Baker, Alan (Bridgette) Ziemianin and Ted (Tia) Ziemianin and loved son-in-law to Jean Ziemianin and the late Emil. He will be dearly missed by his nephews and nieces, Joey Jr., Denise, Lee, Alan Jr., Jennie, Trisha, Steve (Corinne) and Jessica. Stan had worked for Ford Motor Company and recently for Stoke Seeds. He was a very dedicated member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and of the Canadian Polish Society. Thank you to the amazing Home Care Nurses, Hospice Niagara Nursing Staff and Dr. Whitty for all their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Rosary being held at 7p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
