To the Krmpotic Family,
There is no easy way to wish condolences to a family who have just lost a loving husband and father. We are sending you thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Ivan was a man of great mystery; you never really knew what he was thinking, or what he was about to say. A true ponderer with an extremely tough exterior. He loved to tinker ... whether it be with sewing machines or making clocks of scrap wood to represent his heritage in bold red and white - the colours of the Croatian flag. He was a proud man, always stuck to his roots. Family was and always will be the most important. Ivan loved soccer and stayed glued to the t.v. no matter the time, just to cheer his team on... looking like a child on Christmas morning in excitement. Soccer was always accompanied by a good cup of Turkish "coffee-'za" and maybe a palacinke or two with nutella or plum jam.
There is something to be said about living out your heritage, and who you become by doing so. This is a true testament to Ivan's character. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
May you soar on the backs of those wearing the checkered flag. Rest easy.
