BIANCANIELLO, Amato
On Tuesday, March 6, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at home, Amato Biancaniello, in his 90th year was called from this life by our Lord. He was a devoted and loving husband to Giovanna for 54 years.The best pa to Michael (Sylvia), Pino (Cindy), Anthony (Angela) and Maria Rosaria (Chris). He was a cherished and loving Nonno to Rachel, Adam, Joseph, Jacob, Andrew, Brandon, Carly, Jaden and Justin. Amato was a devoted son of the late Michele and Rachele Biancaniello of Italy and predeceased by his brother Antonio (Letizia) Biancaniello and sister Maria Rosa (Giovanni) Demita, all of St. Catharines. Dear brother of Emilia (Amato) Prudente, Filomena (the late Generoso) Delli Gatti of Italy, Felice (Maria), Raffaele (Ida) of St. Catharines, Gerardo and Maria (Michele) Fumagallo of Italy. Amato was cherished by his brothers-in-law, Antonio (Rosa) Carbonara, the late Angelo (Catherine) Carbonara of St. Catharines, Peppino (Elenora)
Carbonara, Anna Maria (Franco) DelGiudice,the late Filomena and Vincenzo Acquavivola of Italy. Amato will also be greatly missed by his many nephews, nieces and so many dear friends. Amato was proudly employed at Thompson Products for 30 years. He was a faithful member of St. Alfred's Parish and a 50 year
member of Club Roma. His family was very proud of his strong work ethic and his military service as a Marine serving in WWII. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Joanne and Victorina of ProWellness along with Corrina, Wendy and the lovely PSW's from The March of Dimes for their extraordinary care and compassion. Above all, to Amato's best friend and compare, Aniello Coppola for his unfailing commitment in helping Amato to look and feel his best. Amato loved them all. Amato's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church 272 Vine St. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy made to World Vision of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by Amato's family.
