Obituary of Donald Cecil Newhouse
Newhouse, Donald – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday October 24, 2019 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Edwards). Loving father of Greg (Elaine), Gary (Dominique) and the late Grant. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Kevin, Jillian, Kelsey, Kiefer and Genevieve. Proud great grandfather of Jade, Alice and Connor-Grant. Donald was a lifelong employee of the City of St Catharines and achieved his pilot’s license at the age of 19. He was involved in many community organizations such as The Niagara Minor Hockey Association, the Bethel Scouts and Cubs and St George’s Church Homer. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St Catharines on Wednesday October 30th from 6-8:30pm. An inurnment will take place at 1pm on Thursday October 31st, 2019 at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
