Obituary of Robin Draper Dunn
Dunn, Robin (Robert) ~ Passed away peacefully, on December 24, 2010 in his 70th year from complications of lung and heart disease. Loving husband of Jill for over 49 years. Dear dad of Braden, Shelly (Chuck Dick), and Chris (Maureen). Proud Grampa of Austin, Jordan and Michyla. Loving brother of Tim (Mary Ann). Special fishing buddy to cousin Bob, nephew to Kathleen, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Welcoming him into heaven are his parents Bob and Ruth, beloved grandmother "Doll" and infant grandson Jarrett.
Robin influenced many lives as an active member of AA for almost 22 years. Retiring after 35 years with NELS Inc. engineering firm, he previously worked with the TD bank and as a Stock Broker. He enjoyed fishing, a good game of cribbage, and was well known amongst friends for his warm smile and great cooking. He had a special bond with his dogs and will be missed by his furry companion Allie.
True to his gentlemanly nature, funeral services for Robin have been delayed until the first week in January to allow families and friends an opportunity to share their time together over the holiday season! Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday January 4th from 7-9pm, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday January 6th at 11am. At Robin's request, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robin†™s name can be made to the Rose Craig Foundation towards purchase of a 'CPAP' unit to assist people with breathing disorders or to the charity of your choice.
