Obituary of Marjorie Gore
GORE, Marjorie (nee Hill)
It is with deepest sadness the family of Marjorie Gore announce her passing on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at home in Niagara on the Lake, in her 92nd year. She was born in Preston, Lancashire, England on May 10, 1928, the only daughter of Thomas and Beatrice Hill. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late William Kenneth "Ken" (2010). She is survived by her four daughters Ann (Alan) Weaving, Janet (Robert) Hanna, Kathryn (George) Carpenter and Carolyn (William) Underwood, Grandchildren Shawn (Jamie) and Allison (Robert) Carpenter, Charlotte (Stavros) Klonarakis, William (Catherine), Thomas and Christine Underwood and Great Grandson Jackson Carpenter. She is predeceased by her brothers Charles and Norman Hill.
The family would like to thank Dr. S. Durocher and Nurse Elise, Dr. R. Mackett and Dr. T. Nolan as well as the staff and Nurses of the LHIN, St. Elisabeth Health Care, Paramed, Hospice Niagara and ProResp for their personal and compassionate care during her illness. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
