I was first introducted to Marcel as a shiny new rookie in 2000 working St. Catharines. Marcel was a great guy, and despite the difference in age and experience we ended up becoming good friends. We had a great platoon and Marcel was a big part of that. Some of the best (and craziest) memories I have from my days working STC involve Marcel. He always made me laugh as he had such a gruff but hilarious way about him. He was involved in lots of big moments in our young groups lives such as weddings, 40th birthdays, road trips, etc. That goes to show you how much he was liked and we all enjoyed his company. Marcel will be missed and Stacey and I send our deepest condolences to the family. I have been trying to find a photo of Marcel on his last day as a police officer. He was conducting briefing to the platoon and we were all secretly armed with cans of silly string. Once briefing was over we lit him up. I have a photo of it and Marcel's big smile. If I find it I'll add it.

Dear Marcel Family.
I am so sorry to hear of Marcels passing.I retired to Quito,Ecuador some 16 years ago and it was with Marcels help that I got my Police Record to enter my new country in Retirement some 16 years ago now.
When in retirement he also assisted me in my Vitamin purchases at Shoppers Drug Mart where in his offtime he kept himself busy.
Like myself he was a great Fan of The Montreal Canadians back so many years ago.
Please rest in peace Marcel I shall miss you my dear friend.

Marc was a great co worker on A shift for many years. He was unrivalled for his antics and a pleasure to double up with in 103 and 110 zones. He was a leader for after hours wings (hot) and a few pop. and of course . He was always in on our shift hockey and baseball outings. We did a two week Banff road trip in 1973, and had a great time. On our last night in Banff Marc took our Kentucky fried chicken bones and hid them under the tent beside us hoping a bear might visit the camp site. I will miss Marc. Brian Unger (Felix)

Dear Pat and family, please accept my sincere condolences on Marcels passing. Marcel will be remembered by his colleagues as a gentleman and outstanding Police officer. I always appreciated his broad smile and humorous take on most circumstances he encountered. He has been taken too soon but I trust that the life he lived so well will ease the pain of his passing. He will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of Marcels passing. Marcel & I started our NRPS career the same day- Feb1/72 along with 10 others. Whenever we touched base over the years there were friendly jabs at the virtuous of the Leafs vs the Habs. I echo comments re Marcels humour. Rest in peace my friend- Al & Leslie Penner.

My deepest sympathies to the Landry family. Marcel and I were the closest of friends for a season of our lives. We were brothers together on that thin blue line. We were young then and we were brave. We worked hard and we played hard. Marcel, I cherish the memories of our good times together on “A” Platoon (Nulli Secundus). And I will not forget your words from our last conversation together. May your soul find peace my friend.
