Obituary of Luke Doppelhofer
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that sudden passing of our beloved son and brother, Luke Doppelhofer at the young age of 26 on Sunday May 24th, due to a tragic accident.
Luke is survived by his parents Rick and Colleen, and his older brother Jake. He is pre-deceased by his sister Molly, uncle Andy, cousin Jordan and Papa Jones. He is lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Fred and Margaret Doppelhofer and Nana Jones. He will be greatly missed by his many family members including his aunts and uncles, Sue / Uli, Karen / Toby, Cathy, Casey / Dave, Larry / Sandy, Rick / Sue, Mary Jane, Chris / Paul, Bernie / Tracey, Gibb / Tina and Brian. He had incredibly close relationships with all of his cousins, Cadence, Rylee, Trista, Meg, Liss, Sam / Ally, Zack / Tay, Jesse, Graeme, Matt / Dana, Rachel, Jayden, Josh / Emily, Coleman, Al, Max, Coop, Noah, Ave, Emma and Dylan and his memory will always live on through them.
Lukey’s contagious smile, bubbly personality, loyal friendships and kind heart will forever be remembered by his many friends. He was a natural athlete, never afraid to try new things and he excelled at every sport, especially hockey, snowboarding and skateboarding. His selflessness and humour were widely known and admired by all who knew him. He had a way of making sure everyone felt seen and felt important. Doppel lived life every day with intention. There was nothing he loved more than meeting new people, unless he was meeting a new animal. No one captured his heart more than his beloved dog, Jaxon. For Luke, Jaxon was the perfect depiction of a man’s best friend and their mutual love was undeniable.
Cremation has already taken place and a service will be streamed on Saturday May 30th at 2:30pm. A celebration of life will also take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lincoln County Humane Society or Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Words cannot express how much he will be missed. Our lives will never be the same.
Due to the Ontario Health concerns, there are to be only 10 non-employees on the Funeral Home property at anytime by order of the Premier; all attendees must be 2 metres apart
