Obituary of Carl Hellmut Klauck
KLAUCK CARL It is with profound sadness that the family of Hellmut Carl Heinrich Klauck, aged 92, announce his passing in St. Catharines on Monday February 13, 2012. Carl was born in Germany on September 30, 1919 and moved to Canada in 1957. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Ingeburg Margerete (n©e Kraeling), his son Joerg and daughter-in-law Ann; his daughter Kathy and son-in-law Brooks; and cherished grandsons Colin and Joel Rickard.
Carl valued his family above all else and communicated that love to us every opportunity he had. Being supportive to family and friends only begins a list of traits that made him memorable to all who met Carl. His was a life neither short in years nor in adventure. His tenacity, endurance and passion sustained Carl through many of life†™s challenges. With a pioneering commitment to the environment he truly was a man with a mind before his time. Our Dad loved people and remembered them by name wherever he went and we know they will think of him with a smile. Compassionate care from the kind staff of Heidehof Home for the Aged helped Carl immensely in his final years and with his last challenge.
Carl is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines where visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Carl†™s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 18 at 2pm. Donations in Carl†™s name, if desired, may be made to the Benevolent Society Heidehof or to the Salvation Army for whom Carl had great respect.
