To the entire Walker Clan,
Please know that Walks, Wy and I are thinking of each of you. Your dad had a most infectious smile and there was nothing he loved more than being around all his kids. The first time I met your dad was at Karaoke in a local watering hole and we had so much fun. I'll always remember how he beamed with pride and laughed heartily when any of his girls took over the mic. Thanks for sharing him with us. P.S. Walks is especially saddened to lose a kindred devoted Habs fan. Love to you all. xoxoxo

Dear Walker Family, we were saddened to learn of Gerry’s death. Gerry worked with our father, Ernie (2018) at Ontario Hydro, and our parents were friends over the years. Mom has good memories of friends socializing at the Henley Hotel, and she remembers the quick wit both Gerry and Colleen possessed. They were a happy and uplifting couple! We last saw Gerry at dad’s funeral. Each member of our family has fond memories of Gerry with his French accent and jovial character. Awesome photos of Gerry on the Tribute Wall, and we appreciated being able to view the virtual service during COVID-19. Our family extends its heartfelt sympathies and condolences to you all.
Shirley Brunet and family.

As a friend of Mike’s I was over at the Walkers many times and they were always so welcoming it was as if you were one of the family. I can honestly say I never saw Gerry in a bad mood. His smile and laughter was always present and was contagious. Gerry always made every situation more fun and I always enjoyed his opinions on life as well. And it’s true he could fix anything. His cars seemed to last forever. He was invincible and never seemed to age and somehow he seemed stronger than all of us who were half his age. I admired how he was able to take everything in life in stride. He had a good solution for everything. He was a class act and a good man and I’m fortunate to have known him. Rest well Gerry.

Words can not express the loss of Uncle Gerry, he was an extraordinary man!
As a child I have very fond memories of times spent at Ted Street with the Walker family, cottage vacation at Mootes Cottages in Orillia, learning to water ski and all the laughter that was shared. He was fun but he did have rules. You could have your ears pierced but only after you turned 12, and of course he would pierce them for you on the front steps! With an ice cube, a potato and needle in hand, the deed was done effortlessly. You never felt a thing, it was done. He then put in your little gold hoops and made you faithfully promise to twirl them every night and morning for 2 weeks. If you did that you would have no problems.
Uncle Gerry was always able to make you believe there was fun and joy in almost everything. He was always happy to see you and he could pick up where you last left off. It was clear family was important, not only his immediate family but his extended family and that included many.
Thank you Uncle Gerry for the memories you help create, I cherish each and everyone of them. You will be missed!
Love you always,
Sharon May xoxo

My deepest condolences. I met Jerry at St. Alfred’s church nearly 17 years ago and he would ask me to usher when they were short a person. I think it was Jerry who encouraged
me to become an usher. What a great man, so nice, always smiling. I missed him at church for the last few years. What a wonderful person and beautiful family.

We miss you Gerry.......
Every day I walk into the Heatherwood and you are not there with your big smile and an enthusiastic "Good Morning"...........
Sharing our passion for flowers and plants, taking care of them and getting excited when there would be a new leaf or a beautiful flower.....
All day seeing you around, helping where you can and when we leave to go home, you would say: " You better be back tomorrow!"
Goodbye Gerry, which is not forever, it's not the end, 'til we 'll meet again......
