I was so saddened to hear of Donna's passing. The last time I saw Donna was about four years ago. She was with Barb at the hospital and she had just recently learned her cancer had returned, Donna was full of optimism and hope that it was just a set-back and that she was going to win the battle. Since then I have often wondered how she was doing and was hopeful that she did indeed beat the cancer. How heartbreaking to see her Obituary. I hope the last four years were filled with hope and enjoyment.
Donna and I went to grade school together... I think we became close in grade 7 and 8 and we got into a lot of mischief together. When I learned that she had three daughters, I often wondered if these girls gave her as much trouble as she gave her parents. You all would have had a hard time pulling one over her because she knew every trick in the book. She was always trying to work out ways that she could see Edie more often than her parents would allow. I remember how she loved to dance and the glint in her eye when she laughed. Donna was a free spirit..... run free Donna your battle is over.
To Barb, I know how devastating the loss of a sister is and I know how close you are to her. My heart goes out to you all.
