Obituary of Romana Jolanta Pacewski
PACEWSKI, Romana Jolanta
It is with deep sadness that the family of Romana Pacewski announce that she passed away peacefully at 10:35am on the 17th day of October with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 28 years to Artur, loving mother of Brendan (son), and Lisa (daughter), Romana was the cherished daughter of Wladyslaw and Maria (predeceased) and sister to Wiola. Romana will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews. Romana started working on a farm when she first moved to Canada from Poland in 1990. She then worked for Levi Strauss, Niagara flower Grower, Polonez meat and deli, and finally Homestead Donuts where she finished her career cooking, serving food and baked goods. Romana was a proud member of the Polish church community, baking for the Cafe after each Sunday mass. Romana loved to bake. There was always some sort of cake or pastry in the fridge to eat. She also loved to travel, dance and garden. She loved the hot sun. She would love to go strawberry picking, tanning and enjoyed any activity that involved being in the sun. Romana loved to go dancing to any events that would be held by the local Polish hall. She would frequently ask other friends and families to join in on the fun. She was always the best dressed. She had so many sparkly shoes and dresses to wear. Romana will always be remembered as a person we could always trust and rely on. Romana always had a happy smile on her face... one of her many great features. She will be deeply missed by all but always in our hearts.
