WHALEN, Yvonne “Bonnie”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 79. Beloved Wife of the late John (1996). Loving mother of the late Michael (1993) (Rose Sgambato), Gord (Sandra) and Laura (Shane) Maryniak. Cherished Nana to Darcey (Brittney), Russell (Christine), Shania (Josh) and Taylor. Devoted Great-Nana to Seth, Lily, Ava, William, T.J. and Stephanie. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Cathy, Darlene, Mark, Cathy, David, Linda, her sister in law Lois and many extended family members. Predeceased by her sister Joyce and best friend Marg.
She was always there for anyone with her loving, kind and generous heart. She was always the first to lend a hand when needed. Bonnie was devoted to the Legion branch 612 of Beamsville. She was very involved with all of her hobbies whether it was playing bingo, videogames, crafts, darts, horseshoes, and bowling.
In accordance with Bonnies wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy 20, Fonthill at 12 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
