As part of his extended family, we have fond memories of Maurice during the few times we met up in Canada and England. We were touched by the important things he stood for in life and his care for others. We will miss his interest, warmth and humour. Our condolences to Marilyn and family.

As a family we have fond memories of our visits to St.Catharines. Maurice was always welcoming and ready for a trek on the escarpment, followed by a game of bridge, a gin and tonic and dinner. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to you and your family Marilyn.

I met Maurice through my uncle and aunt in the late 1970s and saw him occasionally over the years at various events. I admired his hard work on behalf of many organizations and his commitment to the community. He was a true gentleman. I send my sympathy and condolences to Marilyn and his family.

I met Maurice when we moved here in 1979. I have many fond memories of him. Always reliable, offering help to everyone. We shared years in Rotary, latterly in Probus. I remember many times being mistaken for Maurice, by Rotarians. He also said that
Rotarians would say "Hi Mac to him"! Wishing Marilyn and the family my condolences. Mac Gollert

Our sincere condolences to Marilyn and family. We shared many meetings together of the Historical Society of St. Catharines, The Ontario Genealogical Society Niagara Branch and most recently as part of the Welland Canal Fallen Workers Committee. His input was alway positive and helpful. He will be missed by all the groups he was invovled with over many many years. RIP Maurice.

Dear Marilyn & Family,
So saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Gomme. It was such a pleasure to have worked for him at Canada Trust. We have fond memories of being at your home for a staff Christmas Party and the Road Rally Scavenger Hunt many years ago.
Your are in our thoughts & prayers.

My sympathy to you Marilyn and your family. My late husband Ralph and I always appreciated your company --from the time when you(Marilyn) programmed St. Thomas' "Progressive Dinner Parties" -such fun---to meeting at symphony concerts and United Empire Loyalist lunches and lectures .He regularly turned up at the Taylors to help us pack donated medical supplies for overseas "Not Just Tourists" Maurice was a faithful church goer (morning service) and Christian. May he rest in peace --his long life of Christian service concluded. Sincerely Elizabeth Oliver-Malone
