Obituary of Peter Shepard
SHEPARD, Peter (Coach)
With grieving hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Peter, on February 27, 2021 at age 63. Loving husband of Elaine (nee Forde) of 35 years. Dear father of Michael (Amanda), Jason, and Todd (Kari-ann). Proud Grandpa of Miley and Chase. Cherished brother of Wayne (Beth) of St. Catharines and Susan (Bill) Bury of St. Eugene, ON. Also fondly remembered by in-laws Sandra, Alan (Peggy) and James and many nieces and nephews.
Peter was born and raised in Montreal. As a youth, he was an avid sportsman, playing softball and starting a lifelong passion for golf. In 1982, he and Elaine moved to St. Catharines where they started their family. Pete was a Scout leader and coached his boys' baseball teams. He was their biggest fan.
He was known to legions of Niagara laser tag enthusiasts as “Coach”. He managed the Dark Zone in the 90’s. For the last eight years, he was owner-operator of Zap Zone in Niagara Falls. Thousands of kids will remember the fun they had at birthdays and team nights out.
