June 1930- March 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Wife. Betty passed peacefully on Thursday March 11 2021 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her loving Husband and Life Partner for 59 years Edward John (Ted). Cherished Mother to Edward John (Brenda) and Richard (Jacqueline). Beloved Grandmother to Edward, Shawna, Mikayla, Vincent (Heather), and Christopher (Dimple). Beloved Great-Grandmother to Tyreik, Devonte, Lucas, Ethan, Marie, Anisha and Manveer. Betty is predeceased by her sisters Eleanor and Jacqueline (the late James). Survived by sisters Mary, (Ernest), Margaret (the late Paul), Gloria (Paul) and brother John (Karen). Betty was loved by her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Niagara Health Care Team. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with George Darte Funeral Home and in keeping with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
