Obituary of Kataryna Gamrat
Gamrat, Kataryna
Passed away peacefully at Henley House on March 23, 2021 at the age of 95.
Predeceased by husband Semen (2014). Beloved mother of Sylvia (Casey Kojima), Helen (Glenn Scott), and Mary (Roman Prokaziuk). Loving Babcha to Adam (Karine), Lucas (Elysse), William and Katie. Pra-Babcha to Agnes and Sasha. Kataryna will also be remembered fondly by family in Montreal and New Jersey.
Kataryna was kind, compassionate and caring to family and friends. She had a passion for Ukrainian embroidery and sewing. She especially enjoyed sewing Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.
A special thank-you to staff and caregivers at Henley House for the kindness and loving care they provided over 14 years. Special mention to the wonderful, caring nurses, PSWs and staff at Woodend who made her final weeks comfortable. Our gratitude to Greg Conhiser for the loving care he gave to our Mama through the years.
Floral tributes or a donation to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, in memory of Kataryna Gamrat, would be welcome.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines ON.
