It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Romano on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Vida. Much loved father of Donna (Ed) Vanderloos and the late Michael (2012). Proud grandfather to Michael and Jessica. Romano is survived by his siblings Orlando (the late Giusta), Sam (Adele). Predeceased by his brothers Rodolfo (Anita) and Everisto, and his sister Pasqualina (Emerico). Dear brother-in-law to Dina, Kris, Maria and Kristina. Fondly remembered by his niece Nancy, his nephews Joe and Sam, and many nieces and nephews in Italy.
Romano retired from Kelsey Hayes after many years of service as a Machine Operator. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Hagerman and the staff in the Emergency at NHS-St. Catharines for their kindness and compassion.
Romano’s family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home ceremony room on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
