Obituary of Robert Ray Beirness
Rob passed away in his sleep on April 15, 2021 at the age of 55. Rob was born in Toronto to Ray and Blanche Beirness (nee Cameron). He is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his brother, Gary. Rob enjoyed growing up with his friends in Riverdale, and he developed into a foodie by frequenting restaurants on the Danforth, especially the Astoria. In his youth, he also loved having lots of summer fun with family and friends in Northern Ontario. He worked for 32 years at Canpar, mostly driving a tractor-trailer. Rob's leisure time also took him to the road: always adventurous and thrill-seeking, he speedily enjoyed classic muscle cars and sports bikes. Above all, Rob always found and believed in the best in people, and he will be lovingly remembered by his close friends. In accordance with Rob's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in August. To honour Rob, donations can be made to Make-A-Wish or your local food bank.
