Obituary of Janet Louise Rusan
RUSAN, JANET LOUISE (nee PHELAN)
Passed away peacefully, as a result of pancreatic cancer, at McNally House Hospice on April 24, 2021, in her 70th year, with family by her side. Loving wife of her best friend and soulmate, Carl, for 46 years. Cherished mother of Merissa, Brian, Kevin (Joyce) and Amy. Proud grandmother of John, Dylan, Michael, Tate, and Sadie. Dear sister of Gerry (Moe), Denis (Joan), Nancy (Carlo), Paul and Pat. Treasured sister-in-law of Janice (Allan) and Glenn (Helen Ann). Caring aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Beloved by many more, including her godmother, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Janet was a proud and conscientious Registered Nurse for 47 years working at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton (Charlton Site) and Maplecrest Village in Grimsby.
Special thanks to Fr. Rico of St. Joseph's Parish in Grimsby for his support of Janet and family; to the ‘C Ward’ staff of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby for their excellent care of Janet; and to McNally House Hospice in Grimsby for keeping Janet peaceful and comfortable in her final days.
