Obituary of Lilian Marie Terese Harb
Harb, Lilian Marie-Terese "Lily" (March 29, 1976 - April 28, 2021) It is with the most heavy and anguished of hearts that we share the passing of our sweet and angelic Lily, in the early evening of Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 with her devoted husband Darren and immediate family by her side.
Words cannot begin to describe the loving, selfless, compassionate and generous young woman that Lily was. When it came to helping others, she always came last. She would do anything for her family and dedicated her life to raising her daughter Marina based on a foundation of Christian values and faith. Her husband Darren stood with Lily from the time they met and walked through her painful journey by her side with strength, loving patience, warmth and unwearied encouragement.
Lily touched the lives of literally thousands through her passion to want to heal and care for others through her practice, Holistic Health Niagara. It was this same selflessness and putting others before herself that kept her painful fight with cancer a private one that she endured with courage, determination and a resolute faith in God.
Lily graduated from Dennis Morris High School and then went on to complete her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University. From there, she went on to obtain her certification in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the College of International Holistic Studies and the Open International University for Complementary Medicines. Lily also attended Niagara College for Holistic Nutrition & Wellness. She is a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Lily was founder and owner of Holistic Health Niagara where she served as a registered acupuncturist and certified auricular and bioenergic practitioner. Inspired by her own personal journey raising her daughter Marina, one of Lily's vocations in life was to better the lives of children. https://www.holistichealthniagara.com/staff/lily-harb-r-ac.html
Left to mourn her loss is her loving husband and soul mate Darren Belay, her daughter Marina & step-children Josh, Megan & Samantha, her parents Danita & Joseph Harb, brother Jeremy Anthony (Patricia), sisters Sandra (Darren Arrol) & Lindy (Brad Gilbart), nephews Antanios, Jimmy & Harper, nieces Elena, Lauren, Maya, Abigail & baby Gilbart (to join the family soon), mother-in-law Pat (Walter Bellay - 2013).
Lily is predeceased by her grandparents Maria & Marian Kapsiak, Therese & Tanios Harb, uncle Paul Nohara as well as aunts Yvette Dergham, Juliette & Janet Harb.
