I was fortunate to have had her as my grade-5 teacher at St. Joseph School on Facer St., way back in 1967-68. Her house was a few blocks away, across from Ubaldo's barber shop and Fredo's. We lived on Concord Ave. I remember occasionally seeing the cute little daughter in their front yard... she couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 years old at the time.
Remarkably, my father saved my school report cards since the elementary grades and I've had occasion to review them nostalgically. I regret that I wasn't the best-behaved pupil in the class, for which I apologize (very belatedly). Yet, grade 5 was my best scholastic year at St. Joseph's. I, fortunately, went on to have continued academic success over the next 20 years and give Ms Minniti her due share of credit.
I did re-visit the school once, while I was in university, and happily found her as the only one I recognized in the staff room. May she know that my appreciation continues to this day. My sincere condolences to the family. Rest eternally in peace.
Cordially..... Gabriel Peracchia

To all of you, dear family of Louise Minniti: My heart breaks with sadness as I join you in grief over the loss of such an inspirational woman as your Louise was. I have had the joy of many encounters personally and professionally with her over my years of priestly life, starting back in the 1980s when I was first introduced to her as an accomplished teacher and witness of a solid Catholic life. I know of many a student who benefitted from her deliberate attention to their needs -- so much so that they were able to see a marvellous transformation in their learning abilities, thanks to your beloved. It was only in 2017 that I had the complete pleasure of Louise's company on our pilgrimage from Fatima (for the 100th anniversary of the apparitions) into Andalucia, Spain. Since it was a small group, I was able to renew my acquaintance with Louise, and enjoy many a conversation with her on the bus and at the dinner table. She wrote to me afterwards expressing her thanks -- a note that I will always treasure. My true regret is that I did not keep up my contacts with her during her time of illness; I am especially thankful for the attentiveness shown to her by Fr. Hugh, my good friend. May this holy woman of God, this brave and genuine woman, be received into God's loving embrace and rewarded richly for her labours on this earth! (Fr.) Peter T. Rowe

To the family of Louise I offer my condolences. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I had the honour and pleasure of working with Louise on many occasions. She was a natural teacher who even in retirement never really retired. She continued to work with children whether it would be her visiting classes to discuss preparation for Communion, or to share an art lesson with the kids. Every teacher who had the pleasure of working with Louise became a better teacher. She offered so much knowledge and patience with others and was always willing to share her "magical" ways.
Louise was truly adored by her students and often to this day as adults they remember her loving and caring "mother-to-all" attitude that radiated in every classroom she taught in. She was truly a precious gem who made everyone around her recognize how special she was. She will be missed but will always remain in our minds and hearts.

Dear Renata, Marisa, Monica, Gemma and families,
We were so deeply saddened to read about the passing of Louise, your dearly loved mother, mother-in-law and "Ammie". She touched so many lives.
My husband Lou and I remember her as a most faithful member of St. Alfred's Church. Our girls remember her kindness as elementary students at Canadian Martyrs where she taught at the time. As a French teacher with the NCDSB, I was truly blessed and privileged to have taught Louise's Grade one students at the new St. Ann's School in Port Dalhousie. That year is forever etched in my mind as one of the finest experiences I had had in education. There are no words to fully capture the amazing woman that she was and the impact that she had on me and everyone. I was immediately struck by her elegance, kindness, incredible work ethic and indescribable passion for life, for each of her students, for her colleagues and for her family. In meeting her children, I saw clearly that her bright light shone through them.....Her legacy lives on......
During this most difficult time, may you find solace in cherished memories, in family and friends and in knowing that she lives on in your hearts forever.....
We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences,
Maria and Lou Biagi and Family

Louise, you were an amazing woman. You took me under your wing while I was in school with your daughters ( Monica and Renata)
You made the best meals for me!
I remember you helping us with late night assignments. We had any laughs together.
I will never forget the time I came in the summer and got a really bad sun burn and you said " you can`t go home looking like that"
I will miss our visits.
Thank you for being an inspiration to me. You will be miss.

Our condolences to the family of Louise. I remember her as a lively, enthusiastic President of St. Alfred's CWL. She knew how to keep the meeting moving along, with interest and grace. Good sense of humour too. Although we moved here to Peterborough 3 years ago, it's good to recall Louise's involvement in and love for the parish of St. Alfred's. Her emails always signed off with a thoughtful and inspiring quote. May she rest in the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To Louise's daughters and their families. My deepest condolence for the loss of your ''Hero'' mom. She was a true portrait of a mom, wife, teacher and a friend to all who knew her. Her gracious greeting smile made her approachable to go for any advice. She was the principle at my children school and they loved ''Mrs. Minniti.'' I personally saw her devotion to making every child succeed in education and also the many hours she volunteered at St. Alfred's church functions(all for the Lord). She was an ''Earth Angel' and now the Lord has promoted her to a ''Heavenly Angel'' Louise will remain in all your hearts and also ours and she will be your family's, ''Guardian Angel.'' May the Lord give you the strength you need to say goodbye to a ''Hero'' mom during these dark times
(Covid). God bless you all.

So very sad to hear about the passing of this beautiful lady with one of the kindest hearts I have ever met. She had the best smile and the loveliest laugh, and a light that spread such warmth in any room. She was the one who helped me get on the path to teaching when she let me start helping out in her classroom when I was in Grade 3! I spent every recess around this gifted educator until I was in Grade 8 so I truly learned from one of the best. She also had a hand in getting me my first job after a badly botched interview. I will forever be grateful for her guiding hand. It’s not often you meet an Angel on Earth and I was truly blessed to know her.
Sending condolences to all of the family. She always talked about all of you with such love and pride. I always noticed when I talked to any of you, how much her light shined through you too. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
