Kevin and I would like to pass along condolences to everyone. We very much enjoyed seeing Helen at family gatherings over the years and loved our conversations with her! She grew up with Kim's Aunt Nancy (nee Burns) near Timmins so we would often chat about life in the North. She was a lovely lady with a lovely smile and laugh! We will miss her dearly! Rest in peace Helen!

My condolences to Helen’s family. Helen was a valuable member of our 5West Nursing staff at the North Bay Civic Hospital, well respected by colleagues and patients alike. Her warm smile and personality brightened all of our days. Thank you for being a part of our team, dear Helen. Rest In Peace!

Helen was a dear friend of our family, the Legault's, living across the road from the Saumur's at the Pamour Mine near Timmins, Ontario. We grew up together and took the bus to school on frosty mornings together. We all went our separate ways when we became adults. Fortunately, some of us were able to keep in touch with you, and all are deeply sad to lose you. Your kindness will surely ensure your place in heaven.

Helene, je va manquer nos efforts de parler en francais. Much laughter came from those chats. You gave me access through prayer and actual meetings with Chris, Laurie and Paula. This circle was expanded to include four remarkable boys and Emily. Jim and I share the deep sorrow the children and grandchildren will experience. Not to mention the socks ! Helene knit mittens for the children of Garden Hill Reserve in Northern Manitoba and they sent her a booklet of their photos wearing the mitts. Helene taught me to speak slower, not to interrupt 'cause she wanted to do that herself.. No words to explain how much we miss her. Gertrude told her daughter that she would find out the Answers to life and now she has. Thank you Laurie and Paula Mike, the boys and their partners and of course Emily for sharing your amazing G-ma with us.
Eternal love

Dear Laurie, Paula and family: So sorry to hear that Helen lost her fight with her illness. Helen was such a good friend to so many residents at Towering Hts. She taught many of us to knit, would always come out to the special functions and pot luck dinners and was famous for her delicious lemon squares.
Helen loved to play cards with the gang each week and her usual jovial laugh would turn into a very wicked one when she was winning.
We enjoyed many an outing out with Helen for fish and chips, spaghetti night and it was a great fun night having Helen along always..
Helen enjoyed looking after our wee dog Pepper when we went away. She laughed at his snobby attitude, and the way he would play with her rubber door stopper. He always loved to cuddle at night on her lazy boy chair with her. He will miss her a lot.. We will all miss your Mom so much. Now she is up in heaven laughing as always I am sure. RIP dear friend.
