I remember the first time I met Nonna she was very welcoming to her home. She always had food, treats or drinks to offer. The best part was that the supply would never end, a bottomless pit, always giving and giving more food even if you were stuffed or about to explode. She loved her family dearly and all family friends, she made them feel like family and at home. I was very blessed to have been part of it and to know Nonna. Such an amazing, strong Italian character you could not easily forget. Sometime I had to communicate in Spanish and she in Italian to understand one another. I loved her many stories she would tell, stories about Italy, stories here in Canada, stories about Nonno and so many others about her family. She was a very strong and beautiful soul and she will be dearly missed. I am sure she is reunited with Nonno and is preparing for the next big meal as she watches her dear family and loved ones from above. Thank you Nonna so dearly for the extra pounds and for all the love and welcoming you showed me.
Ti amo Nonna

Nonna really wanted to be with Nonno again so the fact that she’s with him now, makes the pain of her passing bearable.
Nonna was the strongest woman and had the softest heart. She was courageous, humble, and fiercely loved and protected her family. She was so kind.
Every Sunday she’d call to let us know the water was boiling for the pasta and it was time to head over. I’ll miss those days. I’ll miss her hugs and back rubs. I’ll miss the way she drove like an F1 racer while blaring Umberto Tozzi, the way she pinched my cheeks and how she always dressed up, smelled like a field of flowers and wore beautiful gold.
Recently, I’ve been catching myself doing the smallest things exactly the way she would. The way I wipe the table, tell my younger siblings to “washa the hands”, the way I burst into laughter and the way I taste test fruit in the grocery store. My favourite memory about Nonna was how she answered the phone. “EH-Yell-Oh”!
The truth is, she can never truly leave us, she’ll always be here. She lives on in the way my family loves and protects each other. In our passion for cooking, singing, laughing. In our traditions and prayers.
So, thank you Nonna. For all the times you weren’t thanked, for all the meals you made, for the times you took care of us and the good values you handed down to us. I know you’ll always be here watching over and protecting us, thank you.
Grazie Nonna; per tutte le volte in cui non sei stato ringraziato, per tutti i pasti che hai preparato, per tutte quelle volte in cui ti sei preso cura di noi e per i buoni valori che ci hai insegnato. So che sarai sempre qui a vegliare e a proteggermi, grazie.
Ciao, mi bella Nonna, ti amo sempre.

Sending our sincerest condolences the the Napolitano family. Antonetta was such a lively, faith-filled,
lovely lady. Her heart was so big. She was a great help to our Padre Pio Group, and always worked
tirelessly. We will miss her great laugh as well. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine
upon her. Reunited with Mike at last.

Growing up you would always ask us “what will you miss most about me?” Being younger at the time and the meatball I was. I would always reply “the cooking and food everyday Sunday”.
Little did I know at the time, that during this journey, the cooking and Sunday meals would end before life would, with age. Reflecting back on those moments. I will miss all the small things you did for your Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and everyone else that was blessed to enter your life.
Throughout the years, you taught all of us simple life lessons that we will look back on and be thankful for. You have helped shaped everyone in your family to be amazing, loving, caring, and compassionate humans.
The random talks about life, the good and the bad, and fun times will never be forgotten and highly talked about and shared as we all grow older. Whether it was a ten course meal or tea and coffee. You always ensured we left with full hearts, smiles on our faces, full stomachs, and new memories. Now we take the time to thank you one last time.
I will forever miss hearing “you hungry”, or “you eat more” after repeatedly telling you that I was full from the previous five plates of pasta.
May you Rest In Peace, and watch over us and continue to guide us for the remainder of all of our journeys.
Love forever and always,
Matthew
