Obituary of Grazia Maria Tallarico
It is with great sadness that on October 17th 2021, Grazia Maria Tallarico peacefully passed away in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Pietro of 54 years. Mom will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her children Chiara (Angelo), Helen (Domenico) and Tino (Lindsey). Nonna will be terribly missed by her precious grandchildren Isabella, Giulio, Jada Maria, Alessandro, Sonya and Zandra. Dear sister of Gerardo Laguardia (Maria), Giovanna (late Francesco Falcone), Concetta (late Tomasso Masci), Nina (late Antonio Nozza), Carmela Laguardia and sister in law Rosa Tallarico (late Giueseppe Astorino). Zia Grazia will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Grazia was a loving, humble, hardworking and spirited woman who dedicated her life to caring for her husband children and grandchildren through cooking and baking especially with her grandchildren, always creating a welcoming environment for everyone who entered through her doors.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Richard Whitlock, medical teams, nurses and staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and the entire ICU and ICU west Doctors, nurses and staff at St Joseph’s Health Care Hamilton on Charlton Ave E. Honorable mentions to Dr. S Yohanna (Nephrologist) and Dr. A.D. Kitching (Cardiologist)
Family and friends will be received at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines on Wednesday October 20th from 2-4pm and
6-8pm Grazia’s funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 21st at 1pm. Those wishing to attend the funeral service must RSVP to the funeral home at 905-937-4444 as capacity is limited. For those wishing to attend virtually, a livestream link will be provided below. If desired, donations in Grazia’s memory to St. Joseph’s Hospital (Nephrology Department) or the Niagara Health Foundation (Cardiac Care) would be appreciated by her family.
