Obituary of Mary Grossi
After a life well lived, Mary passed away peacefully on October 21st, 2021 with her two sons by her side at Tufford Nursing Home. She is now reunited with her husband Reginald (2009). Loving mother to Joseph, and Leonard (Lauri). Cherished Grandma to Jennifer (Kyle), Sarah (Brad), Darryl (Stephanie), and Matthew (Jenn). Great-Grandmother to ten great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Elda, Lena, and Alma, and sister-in-law to Patrick. Loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; Giuseppe and Genoveffa Vendremine, as well as her three brothers, four sisters, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
Before retiring, Mary was one of the owners of Christina’s Pizza for many years. During her retirement, she kept busy working around and maintaining her home, gardening, cooking, and enjoying the farm with her family.
The family would like to thank Mary’s family doctor, Dr. Dennis Whitty, and Tufford’s doctor, Dr. John Luce. Thank you also to the staff at Tufford Manor for their compassion and care over the past four years.

Arrangements entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 26th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with Vigil Prayers taking place at 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred’s Church on Wednesday, October 27th at 11am. Those wishing to attend the Funeral Mass must RSVP to the funeral home at 905-937-4444 as capacity is limited. If desired, donations to Westhills Care Centre would be appreciated by Mary’s family.
