Obituary of Dan Sevcik
Daniel John Sevcik passed away on October 22, 2021, following a tragic work accident. Dan was born in St. Catharines to his cherished mother Susan and the late John on December 25, 1955.
Dan and Brenda were married June 4, 1983 and were blessed with two strong and resilient daughters, Breanne and Kaitlyn (Jeff). Dan was a Papa to Everly, Lillian, Lyndin and Rebecca. Dan was a Brother to Christine (Wayne) and Brother-in-Law to Linda (Clifford) and Jamie. Uncle to Sonja (Steve), Norman (Karen), Scott (Danielle), Lauralee (Paul), Jeffrey (Lindsay), Kevin (Laura), McKaila, Cody, James (Arielle). Great Uncle to many grand nieces and nephews.
Dan was a truly hard-working man who provided for his family and would do anything for a friend, neighbour or someone who needed help. Dan had an extraordinary skill set and was able to complete any tasks asked of him. He worked relentlessly on projects so that they were completed to perfection – The Dan Standard.
Dan loved his job at General Motors. He was able to travel with the company and be a part of many projects throughout his 47 years of service. Dan inspired, trained, and worked alongside many outstanding colleagues.
We would like to express our love and appreciation for all the support from family and friends during this devastating time.
In keeping with his wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held October, 29th 2021 at 11:00AM at the George Darte Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the MS Society of Canada.
