It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Alice “Lesa” Melnyk on October 26th 2021 surrounded by family at the St. Catharines Hospital in her 88th year. Alice leaves behind her cherished children, Don (Janet), Marianne (Bob), Terry (Sharon), Christine and Catharine (Dan); grandchildren: Corey (Becca), Drew (Charlotte), Kirsten (Stefan), Richie (Jessica), Erin (Greg), Zack (Laura), Nikki, Alex, Natalie, Meagan, Liam and Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Rayna, Ciara, Ruthie, Zoey and Brooks; sister-in-law Sonia. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Nick; parents Walter and Olga; twin-brother Bob, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Eli. Alice was a long-standing active member of St. John The Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church, helping to make cabbage rolls in the kitchen. She enjoyed many things in life such as travelling, painting, bowling, golfing and of course, time at the casino. Alice was the life of the party and all who knew her loved her. Alice’s greatest joy in life was her family.
