Gerald. You will be sadly missed. I find comfort in envisioning you on your next journey on that old Panhead to reunite with your mom and dad. I just prey that you do not throw any parts on the way.

Dear Iftody Family
I am saddened by Gerald's passing. I grew up working every summer at the Iftody Farm in Fenwick and I remember when Helen first brought Gearald to the farm when he was just a toddler and I watched him grow up with his cousins. It was a wonderful place for children to experience farm life while growing up.There was so much to explore and enjoy all that nature had to offer and playing with his cousins was the cherry on top of the cake. John and Helen were wonderful people and Gerald was a special person. The Iftody family were so kind and generous to to all of the DiGaetano family, heck my Mother worked there all her life, every summer until she suffered a stroke. All of the Iftody kids were always at the farm house where Grandma always had wonderful snacks and food for them.Even though I didn't see Gerald that much after I got married and had children of my own, every time I did run into Gerald, there was this bond that had formed at the farm. Always a pleasure to talk to and always so positive despite what life had dealt him and I will miss him. Gerald went straight to Heaven you can be sure of that and he's reunited with his Mom and Dad and the rest of the Iftody family who were waiting to greet him.Rest in Peace and I will never forget you.

Thank you Tony for writing such a wonderful recollection of what life was like for all of us in those days and the people we all grew up with and had cherished memories of. I also have fond memories of sharing the farm with all of your family members. Gerald was indeed like his parents who he was devoted to, soft spoken, kind and thought provoking with their way of viewing things. Looking back to this on this Thanksgiving weekend in 2023 to remember Gerald your words bring back great memories.
