Obituary of Anne Shaw
With heart filled sadness we announce the passing of Annie ‘Anne’ Shaw (neé Woods) on December 1, 2021. She is now reunited with her husband, Isaac (2017). Cherished mother of Anne (Les), David (Delia), Patricia (Martin). Anne was a loving grandmother to Ashley, Megan and Owen, and great-grandmother to Avaro. She is survived by her Scottish family whom she dearly loved, brothers Johnny, Joe and Bernie Woods, as well as her sister Cathy Kane (Woods). Predeceased by her brother-in-law William Kane. Anne will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews both in Scotland and Canada.
Anne was born in Hamilton, Scotland and moved to Canada with Isaac in 1957 after their first child was born. Their family continued to grow and there was no person more proud of her family than Anne. Her family was the most important thing to her. In her younger years she was a talented seamstress, making the nicest clothes, knitting and embroidering with ease. Her green thumb always produced gardens that were admired by all.
You are at peace now Mom. We love you dearly and already miss you.
Special thanks to the staff at Henley House for their care and compassion.
