Obituary of Margherita Stabile
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margherita Stabile announce her peaceful passing on the date of December 23rd 2021, at the United Mennonite Home in her 88th year. Margherita was the devoted wife of the late Vincenzo Stabile, and was survived by her loving children, Anna (Joseph) Bufalino and Leo (Anna-Maria) Stabile; special grandmother to Rosemary (Lee) Zoula, Frank (Carly) Bufalino, Vince Bufalino, Leeanna and Vincent Stabile. A very special great-grandmother to Max, Sofia, Avery and Colin; sister-in-law, Rosa; brother-in-law, Carlo (Maria), Antonina (the late Peter), Lina (the late Baldo) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Andrea (the late Lina), Peter, Anna (the late Mario) and Francesca (the late Guiseppe). Margherita’s joy of cooking, strong work ethic and devotion to her family was evident in all aspects of her life. Our memories of her will always live on in our hearts. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, PSW’s and staff at the United Mennonite Home for their exceptional care of Mom. In keeping with Margherita’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. The family will receive guests for visitation on Tuesday, December 28th from 4:00PM-8:00PM with prayers beginning at 6:00PM with a funeral mass on Wednesday December 29th at 11:00AM at St. Alfred’s Church with entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, please consider making a donation in honour of Margherita to the local Alzheimer Society.
In accordance with Covid-19 regulations, proof of double vaccination and identification is required at the funeral home.
